What you need• Printed RFIs, historical RFI binder• Drawing set• Working printer• Red pen• Tapes
Step 1• Prepare RFIs
• There is a binder for all historical RFIs• Print recent, un-post RFIs from Prolog Manager or iBuild• Put the RFIs in order
Step 2• Markup in the drawing set
• Read the RFI, understand the problem• Find the referred location in the drawing
• (Sometimes the RFI refers to Specs, so find the location in the Specs)
• Red cloud the location, call out and write a short description
Step 3• Paste RFI on the drawing
• Shrink (41) print the RFIs• Cut them into small pieces (leave only useful info)• Tape them to the back of the previous page
Step 4• Archive RFIs
• Write “P – (drawing # / Specs #)” on the top of each RFI• Put them in the binder (correct order)
Tips• Posting RFI will allow engineers to keep updated about
the ongoing problems, changes in scopes• RFI should be post up to date• Weekly posting is recommended
