How to Boost Younger Membership

Main Points

Current statistics Resources What is the Young Professionals Campaign? Membership Action Plan Identify Members Recruit Members Engage and Retain Members Build Membership Sustainability

But First – Interaction!

Why did you join Rotary? How were you invited? What did you know before you joined? What is your testimonial?

These questions can help us gauge why a member would want to join, what they know, what they think they know,

and what we want them to know – most importantly, what OUR CLUB story is.

Lack of Membership Sustainability

Rotarians under age 40 make up less than 10% of membership (Rotary International statistics - 2014)

There's no current strategy to lead Interact members to becoming Roteract members to becoming Rotary members

More than 90% of millennials want their career to reflect “doing good” in the world

(Kelly Global Workforce Index survey - 2014)
