HOW TO ACCESS BRITISH STANDARDS ONLINE LIBRARY (BSOL) USING MOZILLA FIREFOX

1. Login to Ezproxy (http://ezproxy.utm.my) with your ACID username and password.

2. Click on British Standards Online (BSOL)

3. You will see this page. Click ‘Add Exception’ if the link is available. However, if there is no ‘Add Exception’ link like in this picture, proceed to the next step.

4. Click ‘Open Menu’ and go to ‘Options’

5. Click ‘Advanced’

6. Then choose ‘Certificates’. Click ‘View Certificates’.

7. Click ‘View Certificates’ and a smaller window will appear.

8. Click tab ‘Server’ and then click on ‘Add Exception’

9. Key in ‘ ezproxy.utm.my ‘ and click ‘Get Certificate’

10. Click ‘Confirm Security Exception’

11. Click ‘OK’

12. Now go back to the tab where it displays the error and then click ‘Go Back’.

13. You are now back to the A-Z Listing of Online Database. Choose British Standards Online (BSOL) and right click the link -> Open in new tab

14. Click ‘Advanced’ -> ‘Add exception’ -> ‘Confirm Security Exceptions’.

15. And then you will be redirected to BSOL page. If not, repeat step 14 for a couple of times.

16. Done!
