Step1 InitiatinganEngineOverhaulToinitiateanengineoverhaulallittakesisaphonecall.OurserviceadvisorwillreviewthePowerbyVictorengineoverhaulprocesseswithyouandmakerecommendationsonwhatseriesofoverhaulandoptionswouldbestsuityouraircraftapplicationneeds.

Step2 ThePurchaseOrderAfteracustomerhasdecidedonwhatengineoverhaulseriesandoptionsdesires,aworkordercontractisprepareddetailingtheworktobeperformed,termsandconditionsandforwardtoyouforyourapproval.AnenginehistoryformisalsoincludedtoaidVictors

Step3 EngineRemovalandShippingUponreceiptofthecustomerssignedworkorderbymailorfax,aspeciallydesignedengineshippingcontainerispreparedforyourengine.Thesespeciallydesignedshippingcontainerscanbetransportedbydomestictrucklinesorinternationalairfreight.Theenginecontaineristhenshippedtothecustomersenginechangefacilitycompletewithreturnshippingbillofladinginstructionsincluded.

Step4 EngineArrivalWhentheengineisreceivedatVictorAviationtheengine,accessoriesandfittingsarephotographedwithengineandaccessoryserialnumbersrecorded.Photographyoftheincomingengineallowsthefinalengineassemblertoreinstallanyremovedenginefittingsorbracketstotheiroriginalclockedpositionsenablingtheengineinstallereaseofenginereinstallation.

Step5 EngineTeardownandCleaningDuringtheengineteardownproceduretheengineinspectionprocessactuallybegins.Wearpatternsignaturesonthewornenginebearingsareexaminedtodeterminehowtherotatingandreciprocatingenginepartsarealigned.ThisinformationaidsVictorstechnicianstounderstandanypasthistoryofmisalignedparts.Enginepartsarethenseparatedbytheirmaterialcompositionandgothroughhightemperaturesteam,immersionandultrasoniccleaning.Toavoidanypartscontaminationcriticalenginepartswillbepneumaticallycleanedusingspecialplasticbeadblastingmedia.

Step6 EngineInspectionEnginesareinspectedinaccordancewiththeoriginalmanufacturesrecommendationbyVictorAviationsNationalAerospaceStandards(NAS410)certificatedinspectors.Inspectionprocessesinclude:

Step7 EngineMachiningPowerbyVictortechniciansbeginthedetailedmachiningprocessesrequiredtobringtheenginepartsuptoVictorsclosetolerancespecificationsdependingonthecustomersworkorderrequirements.VictorAviationhasastateoftheartfullmachineshopcapableofperformingthemostadvancedmachiningprocesses.

Step8 PartsPreparationA)Enginespartsarepreparedforfinalfinishingdependinguponthecustomerworkorderrequirements.B)Aluminumpartsarealodinecorrosiontreatedandpaintedwithhightemperatureenamelpaint.C)Hardware,bracketsandfastenersaresilverCadmiumPlated.

Step9 FivePhaseEngineAssemblyEngineassemblyisperformedbyoneofVictorstopenginemachinistsunderthesupervisionofthechiefengineinspector.UniquetoPowerByVictorengines,fivephasesofengineassemblyareinspectedandsignedoffbythechiefengineinspector.

Step10 EngineTestingandShipmentTheengineandtestpropellerisinstalledintoahydraulicallyactuatedthrustloadcelltotestforenginepropellerthrustandallengineoperatingparameters.Uponcompletionofenginetestingallenginesarefinalinspectedbythechiefinspectortoassurethatalloperatingparametersmeettheoriginalmanufacturersspecificationsandworkorderdetailrequirements.Thecustomeristhennotifiedthattheengineisreadyforshipment,wrappedandcratedforfinalshipmenttoitsdestination.
