It is defined as an educational system in which the students is formally enrolled in a school or college but receives instruction at some remote areas.

However the delivery system most common today are based on video, audio and computer technologies.

VIDEO DELIVERY

Transmit voice, graphics and images of people.

Video Delivery

Two-way video and audiopresenters and audience can see and hear each other.

One-way video and two-way audioaudience sees and hears the

presenter, while the presenter

hears only the audience.

Signals can be sent via satellite, microwave, fiber optics and coaxial cable.

Video teleconference can be classified into two broad areas according to the technology used for transmission:

Full-motion video – uses normal TV broadcast method or an analog video channel that requires a wideband channel to transmit pictures.

Compressed video – is compressed by a piece of technology known as a Codec, in order to send it down the narrower bandwidth of a special telephone line.

Audiographic Delivery

Is the transmission of still image andaudio signals . With an electronicblackboard, the image is drawn orwritten on a pressure sensitivesurface that converts the writing toaudible telephone tones.
