Netballers win first match of the season We had our first match of the season on
Wednesday night against Oakhurst. You would not
have known it was some of our team’s first game as
they played with confidence and great skill. The
attacking was brilliant and we even managed to score
7 goals on a blustery afternoon. Whichever children
were playing in defence made it a tough job for
Oakhurst to get the ball and we finished the game
with a 7–1 win.
A special thank you has to go to Mrs Wickens,
who came up to umpire the match for us,
and Mrs Painter for supporting the team.
The Team:
Kamran S, Oshotare K,
Tallulah A, Hollie C, Sadie W,
Katie J, Freddie H.
Player of the match: Oshotare
Acorn News This week has been a busy week
in the kitchen with all our little chefs.
We have been learning the rhymes 5 Currant Buns in
the Baker’s Shop and Pat a Cake Pat a Cake.
The children loved making and eating their own
cakes in the classroom and creating forest meals in
the woods. We are doing lots of rhyming.
The children will be bringing home their
own nursery rhyme books next week so
you can share these together.
Leaflet Drop Can you help with a leaflet drop for our school?
We need you to deliver fliers (copies below)
to the other houses in your street.
Please can you help?
Just collect a pile of leaflets from the office and
state the street name you will be covering. (Just so we don’t send too many leaflets to the same houses!)
Thank you in advance for helping us in this way. Acorn Nursery Class
