Public FET Colleges offer an exciting, modern and relevant programme of study in HOSPITALITY & CATERING SERVICES. This programme is one of the well-known trusted programmes at FET Colleges.
The programme is intended to equip students with the knowledge and skills to operate in a hospitality & catering environment.
The REPORT 191 (NATED) N4 – N6 HOSPITALITY & CATERING
SERVICES is a qualification aimed at preparing students for
hospitality & catering services. This qualification is designed to
provide both the theory and practice of the HOSPITALITY &
CATERING SERVICES programme . The practical component of
study may be offered in a real workplace environment or in a
simulated workplace environment. It will provide students with
an opportunity to experience work situations during the period
of study.

For entry into the REPORT 191 (NATED) N4 HOSPITALITY & CATERING SERVICES programme:• A Grade 12 certificate/Statement of Results
Durat ion of Programme?
18 months - you get a certificate after each Level + 18 months working experience
NATIONALDIPLOMA
N4 = 6 monthsN5 = 6 months N6 = 6 months
The HOSPITALITY & CATERING SERVICES programme consists
of a six-month programme for each level: N4, N5 and N6. A
student is issued with a certificate upon successful completion
of each level. After 18 months of work in a business
environment (obtaining experience in two of the N6 subjects)
the student can apply for a National Diploma.

In order to obtain a HOSPITALITY & CATERING SERVICES certificate, a student is required to take a total of 4 subjects - all of which is designed to give the student insight into how hospitality & catering services are managed.
