The Mango Chain Committee from Honduras preformed a quick analysis of the Creole Mango. The lack of funding is stopping the growth of the crop. The mango contributes to the reforestation of dry areas. There is no processing in the chains. Since the market doesn’t absorb them there is lots of fruit lost during harvest. The Chain Committee is trying to solve this problem to provide a better living for many families.

Tilapia is an African Cichlid fish that is widely consumed all over the world for food. Honduras is the largest producer of this fish. Last year, Honduras produced 13 million pounds of Tilapia. Although Honduras already makes about 70 million they are trying to start exporting fish to Europe as well. Desire Garcia, a livestock manager says that this will be a break through for the worlds tilapia market!
