HPE Pointnext Children’s Hospital

• Equipment suppliers are onsite regularly to service our IV Pumps to maintain certification.

• The problem is that they are an expensive resource, and often spend up to six weeks onsite to service the pumps with four of those weeks spent trying to find the pumps.

• We cannot afford the time and expense to hand hold these engineers through our hospital with one of our facilities team.

• There has to be an easier way!!!

• Aruba Asset Tracking implemented over the newly installed infrastructure based on the Aruba 300-Series access points in the hospital.

• All IV Pumps now have an Aruba Asset tag attached using the Zip-Strap tag accessory.

• HPE Pointnext mobile app developed for the hospital.

• Aruba Meridian enabled for BluDot navigation.

• For security the engineer must login using Aruba Clearpass guest credentials.

• Using the mobile app the engineer can now easily locate all IV pumps onsite.

• Indoor navigation makes it easier for the new engineer to find his way through the building and not get lost.

• App restriction prevents any unauthorised use.

• Reports available showing how many devices are currently in a serviced state, and even better, find those which need to be serviced soon!
