frozen seasMonday, December 29

Even though the sea doesn’t really freeze during wintertime, it sure does get cold! Today, get up

close and personal with some of our favorite wintertime ocean dwellers and explore how they

survive the subzero temperatures.

Migration nationTuesday, december 30

Each year, many types of birds fly thousands of miles to find food and safe breeding grounds.

Today, we’ll learn about some of these journeys with games, live animal presentations, and an activity to

help our migrating birds.

Wonderful WinterWednesday, December 31

Some may wish to skip over winter into the warmer temperatures, but today we’ll appreciate how

inspirational winter can be! We’ll take a hike, draw our own winter landscapes, and create nature

inspired postcards to mail to your friends or family!

WInter WarriorsFriday, January 2

Back by popular demand! Do you know what you would do if you were dropped in the forest in the middle of winter? Learn survival skills through hands-on activities including shelter building,

fire starting, and games. We’ll end the week with marshmallow roasting around a toasty fire.
