In September 2013 Healthworks launched a personal safety initiative for women throughout the Boston area that included a series of over 25 complimentary self-defense training sessions, and we continue to add more.

To start the initiative we held a kick-off event in Copley Square. Over 250 women attended the kick-off event. Local radio host Lisa Donovan was the MC and Boston Police Chief Ed Davis addresses the crowd.
