Plan to Watch or Watched Any Fireworks for Fourth of July 2015
In honor of our nation’s 239th birthday, the latest EOVC poll explores consumer behavior around fireworks (live and televised) and viewing of patriotic TV shows and movies over the 2015 Fourth of July holiday weekend.
Three out of four EOVC panelists planned to watch or watched any Fireworks.
47% attended or planned to attend a live display and one in four planned to
watch a televised fireworks display. Washington, DC’s “A Capitol Fourth” celebration was the most popular televised display.
However, an equal amount of viewers noted that they were not sure what they were going to watch and would “see what was on,” suggesting significant potential for programmers to capture channel surfers looking for a good fireworks display to watch.
