Definition

Include draw/paint programs, image editing tools, charting/graphing tools; and clipart, photo animation, sound, video, and font collections.

Types and Classroom Use

Draw/paint – student create their own drawings and illustrations to show on-screen or to print

Image editing tools – Teachers create, modify, and combine images (ex. clipart, photos, drawings) to illustrate documents and web pages

Charting/graphing tools – students create charts and graphs to illustrate and study data summaries

Clipart, animation, sound, video, and font collection – teachers and students insert these into documents and media they create.
