Profile

From Lismore, NSW, I am 20 years old and was attended Richmond river high school, from which I graduated from year 12 in the class of 2010. I was born with low severity aspergers syndrome and have worked hard to gain high aca-demic results throughout my schooling.

I am in my third year of my bachelor of information tech-nology / bachelor of multimedia degree. Before this semester, most of my course has been focused on the technical skills over the design aspect.

I hope to enter into a software design or web design profes-sion after I graduate, which will hopefully be at the end of 2014. I have yet to decide if I wish to continue into a post graduate degree after I graduate.

Before starting this course, I have had very little to no expe-rience with branding and design for commercial purposes, and I have tried my best to achieve a creditable attempt in this course.

The Problem:Hotel soaps are not designed very effect for use in their primaray enviroment, ie the bathroom. - The packaging is often too hard for an adult to open, espicial if their hands are wet - The soap is too small and hard to grip, which can create a slipping hazard

Part 2: Shower - Safe SoapThe solution

To solve this problem, I designed a hotel soap that comes in a disovling plastic and is shaped to allow a average adult to be able to grip the soap, even when wet. This will be branded under the name “Shower - Safe Soap”.

This plastic compond, named Harmless by their UK manufactor cyber-pac, is both biodegradable and disolvible.

This plastic is also able to be heat sealed.

This soap design allow the user to rest the soap bar on the middle finger, and the V shape helps hold the soap in place during bathing.
