76 million people in India don’t have access to safe water and over 60,000 children die every year from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation in India.The major water fact is 2,300 people die every day from water –related diseases.

“Water is Life” if it is pure. We cannot afford to expose our children to unsafe drinking water, which results in sickness and ultimately death. Most of the deaths in villages occur because of epidemics due to unclean water.

•FRESH WATER HAS GONE THROUGH SIGNIFICANT CHANGES OVER THE PAST THIRTY YEARS. FROM AN EMERGENCY STORM SUPPLY IT BECAME A MARKET PRODUCT, UNDER THE FREE MARKET ECONOMY.

•THE WATER SHORTAGE AROUND THE WORLD AND ESPECIALLY IN THE THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES HAS OPENED NEW AVENUES FOR BOTTLED WATER INDUSTRY.

•THOUGH CONCEPT OF BOTTLED WATER IN WESTERN COUNTRIES PICKED UP IN EARLY 1900, INDIAN ELITE FIRST TASTED IN ONLY IN 70’S.

•BOTTLED WATER IN INDIA BEGAN ITS JOURNEY WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF BISLERI, A COMPANY CREATED BY S.F.BISLERI, BASED IN NOCERA UMBRA, ITALY IN 1965.

•IT WAS INTRODUCED IN MUMBAI IN GLASS BOTTLES IN TWO VARIETIES-BUBBLY & STILL.

•IN 1969, IT WAS BOUGHT OVER BY PARLE.

•INDIA IS AMONG THE TOP TEN COUNTRIES IN TERMS OF BOTTLED WATE

•BOTTLED WATER IS ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING INDUSTRIAL SECTORS.

IDEA GENERATION

The idea of establish my own mineral water plant comes when i face the following problems-

• The quality of water was not good

• High charges for providing services

• Their supply chain management was not good

• Their pricing strategies was also not good

• So this way the idea of establishing my own mineral water plant comes in my mind.

• I also discussed this with my society members to know their perception about the plant i.e they will support it or not.

• Because they were also facing the problems like me and were seraching for the best alternatives

PROJECT APPRAISAL

• Environmental analysis-

As I want to establish my own mineral water plant in HAZARIBAGH,Jharkhand , so first I survey the area ofHAZARIBAGH , mainly I am focusing the rural area of HAZARIBAGH because in this segment there is more potential as compare to urban area of HAZARIBAGH.

Second think which attracts me towards rural area of HAZARIBAGH is that the people's financial condition is good but their living life style is not good but they want to change it. So this way i found the gap in water supply market.
