GRADES 2-6 NWEA STUDENT INTRODUCTION

Avon Community School Corporation

What is NWEA Test?

NWEA tests are achievement tests delivered by computer to students.

You will take a Reading, Math, and Language Test.

Why NWEA?

We want to find out exactly where each of you are performing!

The NWEA test will best help you, your teachers, and your parent know what you have learned between testing windows.

How does NWEA work?

With NWEA, the test questions are displayed on the computer screen and you will select an answer using the mouse or the keyboard.

To Take the Test:

You are not expected to know the answer to every question – use your best test-taking strategies.

Just Remember:

You must answer every question – you cannot skip any.

You cannot go back to a previous question.

Is This a Timed Test?

No.. Take as much time as you need.

How Many Questions?

There are about 50 questions.

The test is different for every student.

Your class is scheduled for a one hour testing slot.

What Happens if I Don’t Finish?

You may be allowed to finish with the next group or you may be asked to return at a later time to finish.
