NSC Results 2014
– 93% Bachelor Degree passes– 7 A Aggregates: Sesethu Dodo, Manali
Kapadia, Priyanka Kooverjee, Yusra Lukie, Simnikiwe Mnyazi, Asisipho Tsotsa, Micaela White
– Subject aggregates over 70: Afrikaans, Xhosa, Maths Lit, LO & History
– Subject aggregates over 60: English, Maths, Accounting, Business Studies & Consumer Studies
Absenteeism and SBA
– SBA constitutes 25% of a learners final mark– A NSC will not be awarded if SBA tasks have not been completed
Rules laid down by the Department of Education regarding SBA work:
• If a learner is absent when a SBA task is performed, a valid excuse (as defined by the Department of Education) constitutes one of the following:– Medical reasons – Humanitarian reasons
• Any learner found guilty of presenting work other than her own for assessment will forfeit the marks for that particular task• No SBA task may be handed in more than two school days late
Registration and pass requirements for the NSC Examinations
• A NSC cannot be issued without a valid ID document
• To pass and receive a NSC:– You need 40% for a Home Language and 2 other subjects– You need 30% for 3 other subjects and a complete SBA portfolio
• Bachelors Degree requirements:50% in at least 4 subjects excluding CAT and LO
• Diploma course requirements:40% in at least 4 subjects excluding LO
Privileges
Driving to school:• She must hand in a copy of her Learner’s/Driver’s license at the office• Scooters may be parked inside the school grounds in the designated area• Cars must be parked on the verge outside the school
• You may enter & leave through the front door and gate
Uniform:• White jersey & white scarf• “Matrics only” uniform: court shoes & stockings

• 30 March: Inter-house gala
• 25 July: Matric Farewell (R240 per couple, payable by end of 1st term)
• October: Senior Prize giving & Valedictory Service
