Thoughts from our Head of SEO & Social
"hashtags have become a permanent fixture in social media. Initially a Twitter-craze, the other major players have since caved. Facebook and now Google have implemented them into their algorithms and content. Importantly, hashtags are not keywords and need a completely different approach. They grow through promotion and memes and thus, usually have a much shorter shelf-life. They need a unique approach, centered on timeliness, audience targeting and as ever, truly engaging content."
