GOOGLE CLOUD PRINT

Print remotely from your smartphone

Do you need that document printed and waiting for you when you arrive?

That is one important document! 

Let's explore what you'll need:

 

A computer with:

• Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7    (Sorry Macs, Google says you're coming soon) • The latest version of Google's browser: Chrome

 

This is key:

Your computer must be connected to a printer, and your computer must actually be turned on.

Networked printing is okay

Here's what you do: install the Chrome browser if you haven't. make sure it's the latest beta version

 

Open a Chrome browser page, and click on the little wrench 

In the resulting menu, click "Options"

 

Your "options" box comes up.Select "Under the hood" tab

 

Scroll down, check "Sign into Google Cloud Print"

 

This page appears; sign into gmail

 

And just like that: you've enabled it

 

Open gmail on your phone.

 

Open that important email

 

Click "print" on that important document

 

Select the printer you want

 

"Print job added" means it worked!

 

WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT THE OFFICE, THAT DOCUMENT WILL BE PRINTED AND WAITING FOR YOU.
