Good & Bad Websites

• From WEB1. Submit one bad or ugly web site or web interface.

• http://myspace.com/soybuddha• This is ugly website because there are too

many colors on this page that is alike. I’m color blind, so the background and the text look very similar. So I had a hard time trying to read and navigate the page.

• From AU/AU community1. Submit one bad or ugly web site or web interface.

• http://auburntigers.cstv.com/• This website is an ugly because there is too

must stuff on this page. There is a lot of texts and too many pictures that is trying to show all at once. It would be a good site if Auburn try and stop showing all of that texts and pictures.

• Bad Websites

• This website is bad because it didn’t fit correctly in my browser window. Also it uses more then two font styles and some text is placed against non-contrasting images.

• The website has a funny intro page. The actual content in it looks horrible and they use way to many images to make up their logo.

• http://www.auburn.edu/administration/parking_transit/transit/ • A very poor designed website would be the tiger transit website. The

first thing I noticed was that the front page of the site contained to much text that was unrelated. This gives the webpage a cluttered look. A good percentage of the text that was on the front page was recent new articles . I think they should remove those articles and put them on the news page .I would also remove the transit schedule from the front page

• they should have that on separate page with a link pointing to it on the side menu this would also add free space. Another problem that I noticed was the body text and the link text having similar font color .

• http://www.jonesgroupllc.com• This website was another poorly designed website. It

contained two navigation menus one at the top and one at the bottom . The two menus also contain some of the

• same links so you have repetitive information and the bottom menu is not that noticeable. On the front page there is a picture in the middle that changes into another picture if you rollover it with your mouse this gives the user the idea that this picture might be a picture link. Another design flaw was the pictures on the site did not contain alternate text for people with disabilities.
