Global Business Network (GBN)
Background
Initial Situation:
German development cooperation provides many possibilities for cooperation as well as networks to the private sector
But: in some countries there is still limited access to these possibilities for German and European businesses
The private sector needs more information and points of contact in partner countries
ObjectiveEnhancing cooperation between local and German/European businesses and institutions in selected partner countries
The Global Business Network (GBN) Programme
Business & Cooperation Desks are to be set up in countries in Africa and Asia. They are integrated into the local German development cooperation offices.
GBN coordinators manage the desks and provide information, advice, and guidance.
Cooperation with the AHK network: GBN coordinators work closely with the regional coordinators of the bilateral German Chambers of Industry and Commerce abroad (AHK).
