Our patrons spent the afternoon with State Sen-ator Bill Cunningham at The Plant, Chicago’s vertical farming facility in June of this year. We learned about the different agricultural practic-es, how farming practices are becoming more innovative, and how these new techniques are better for the environment and us. We want to give a big thank you to the Friends of the Library for underwriting this trip and providing our patrons with this educational opportunity. Senator Bill Cunningham and District residents.
