Crushed Limestone Base Material -

Stratum I 1/2 to 1

Fill - LEAN CLAY (CL); dark brown and brown

mottled Stiff

Stratum II 1 to 7 CLAY (CH); dark brown Stiff to Very Stiff

Stratum III 7 to 15

CLAY (CH); yellowish brown and gray with

gypsum crystals Stiff to Very Stiff

Approximately 3 feet of clay should be removed and replaced with select fill

These conditions will satisfy a Condition C Foundation

*Note: Sample was taken less than 1000 feet away. This is the reason for the initial layer of asphalt in the boring sample.

To be used in parking stalls, as well as parking lot walkways for foot trafic.

This material will support the stormwater runoff design.

Stormwater runoff will flow under the parking lot to a system of pipes, which will direct the water to a nearby

sewer easement.

This material will also give benefit to our LEED certification goals, and also meets ADA requirements

Asphalt Paving for Parking Areas, Assembly Costs

A vehicular porous paver will be purchased from manufacturer Belgard and used in the parking

stall areas, as well as foot traffic walkways.

For our required dimensions, a purchase price estimate including base aggregates and labor

was given to be roughly $7 per square foot.

All black areas will be made up of asphalt pavement as designed in the previous pages. The grey

sections, including the parking stalls and the walkways, will be made up of the aforementioned porous

paver.
