Four million women suffered violence.
One million suffered sexual violence.

Today collection of Museum consists more than 3000
exhibits: books, children toys, pictures and photos,
drawings, posters, postcards, presentations,
documents, real things of gender experts and activists
from different countries: Germany, Lithuania,
Vietnam, USA, Sweden, Italia, Denmark, Argentina.

Museum’s exhibitions show that the gender problems are not only women’s problems but the problems of all society.
They help everyone to feel the processes of gender construction in society.
Museum promotes awareness of global women's issues and helps change values and attitudes toward women to end gender-based discrimination and oppression.
From August of 2013 Gendermuseum works
in new format. Today it has two rooms for it’s
exhibitions.
