A huge thank you to everyone who came to

support our Winter Wonderland fair on

Saturday.

Everyone really pulled together to give

donations, make gifts to sell, give up their

time to work on a Saturday, dress up as

characters, offer their skills/ talents and

generally demonstrate real team spirit!

Thanks also to our ‘Friends of Rushbrook’

group of parents and carers who did a

fantastic job in helping resource and

organise the event.

We raised a whopping £1300.00 for school funds.

This half term, Year 6 have been studying the Aztecs

and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. On Friday,

we travelled all the way to Birmingham to visit an actual

chocolate factory - Cadbury's! We were all so excited

to taste the chocolate and see how it was made! We

learnt all about the Aztecs and how they used to

live. We also got to experience a 4D cinema and take a

tour through the factory in electric cars. We all agreed

it was our best trip ever!

Reception & Nursery Nativity

Reception and Nursery sang beautifully in our

Christmas show. They especially enjoyed singing

their own songs and "We wish you a Merry

Christmas" at the end. Well done to everyone.

Today was the last day of Latin for this term. The Year 6 group

have very much enjoyed being taught by Rebecca Gittens from

Manchester University. They can read and translate simple

sentences; have learnt about how adjectives change to agree with

their nouns and are already creating their own phrases. A couple of

which are below:

gallīna ignava sum - I am a lazy hen

bālaena strēnua rīdet - the energetic whale is smiling

Fitness class

On Tuesday 17th January 2017 Mr Owen will be

doing a 45-minute fitness class for parents

and carers. If you are interested, please

leave your details with Katy at reception.

Thank you.
