Happy May! I am continuing to send the same sort of activities in order to reinforce

important skills including decoding, fluency, and comprehension. I strongly encourage

Activities to complete:

Sound Identification: Please continue to practice the sounds on the “Sound Card”

list 2-3 times per week. If you don’t have the list from the previous weeks, just

send me an email, and I will send it out to you. It can also be found on the RSD

Literacy website. https://sites.google.com/view/rsdliteracy/home

Corrective Reading Decoding Strategies (Blue Book): Read through the words at

sounds in the decoding drill (yellow box) twice. Next, read and orally summarize

(1-2 sentences) each section in the following passages. Being able to pull out the

main idea of each section of the passage shows that you are understanding what

you read.
