We, the family of Mrs. Mamie Ellen Sanders, are grateful to all of you who shared with us in our time of sorrow. Mere words cannot express our deep sense of gratitude for your kind deeds, reassurances, and prayers. Thank you and may the Lord continue to bless each of you richly.

"God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away. Although we love you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating; hard workinghands are at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us that He only takes the best. "
Mamie was a daughter of the late Reverend Hannibal Cabbagestalk and Bertha Williamson Cabbagestalk; she departed this life at the Aiken Regional Medical Center on June 1 1 , 2007.
Mamie received God at an early age at Truevine Baptist Church of Augusta, Georgia. Later she relocated to Barnwell, South Carolina where she became a faithful and dedicated member of the Second Baptist Church. Mamie served as Superintendent of the Sunday School department, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, member ot the Mass Choir, American Legion Post Auxiliary, and was employed with the Barnwell Public School System.
Mamie leaves to cherish loving memories of her: Two loving and devoted sons - Rodney Sanders, Secane, PA and Bruce Sanders of Wyandanch, Long Island, NY; One grandson - Zachary Williams, Barnwell, SC; Mother-in-law - Lucretia Sanders, Barnwell, SC; Four Aunts - Gertrude Stanton, Little Rock, SC, Octavia Richardson, New Jersey; Cora Odessa Palmer, Clio, SC and Louise Page, Philadelphia, PA; One Uncle - John Cabbagestalk, Latta, SC; One brother- in-law - Cornelius Sanders, Manhattan, NY; Two nieces - Patsy and Susan Sanders, Manhattan, NY and One grandnephew - Nicholas Sanders, Manhattan, NY; Special Cousins - Lucille Bush, Elouise Holloway, Sara Waltower, and a host of other loving and caring cousins, friends and the entire Second Baptist Church Family. ......
I Am With You AlwaysTo those I love and those who love me, When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do You mustn©t tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess How much you gave me in happiness
. . - I thank you for the love you each have shown :,: But now it©s time I travel on alone.
So grieve a while for me if you must Than let your grief be comforted by trust.
It©s only for a while that we must part So bless the memories within your heart
I won©t be far away, for life goes onSo if you need me, call and I will come
Though you can©t see me or touch me, I©ll be nearAnd if you listen with your heart you©ll hearAll my love around you so soft and clear
And then, when you must come this way aloneI©ll greet you with a smile and say, "Welcome Home"
"Love Mamie"
MOMIT BROKE OUR HEARTS TO LOSE YOU
BUT, YOU DID NOT GO ALONE,A PART OF US WENT WITH YOU
THE DAY GOD CALLED YOU HOME.
GOD SAW YOU GETTING WEARY AND DID WHAT HE THOUGHT BEST
HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND YOU AND WHISPERED COME AND REST.
YOUR SONS, BRUCE AND RODNEY
