•  Awarded a new five year grant for $2.125 million from U.S.

Educational Opportunity Program

•  STAO - Together Stand as One launched for underrepresented male students

•  $100,000 grant from the California Wellness Foundation for former foster youth (Renaissance Scholars)

The Learning Center

•  20,000+ student visits in fall, which included 12,447 visits to Supplemental Instruction.

•  First CSU to offer virtual/online SI in a DISCOVERe linked course.

Office of Advising Services

•  Online advising services include QuickChat, webinar workshops, BlackBoard courses and individual.

Student Support Services

•  Students earned a 2.724 fall 2014 semester GPA.

•  14 students are expected to graduate for fall 2014

•  All new students completed financial literacy and developed

financial plans

University Migrant Services •  93% of AB540 students successfully received Deferred Action for

Childhood Arrivals: employment authorization, Social Security card, qualified for state ID or driver’s license.

•  80% of AB540 students received financial aid through the California Dream Act

Admissions and Records

•  21,000+ students expected to enroll for Spring

•  800+ new upper division transfer students

•  200 new graduate/credential students

•  Record number of First Time Freshman (FTF) applications for Fall

2015.

•  19,500 FTF applications is 5% higher than last year

Financial Aid

•  On-Base software allows financial aid applicants to submit documents online

•  Record number of financial aid disbursements to nearly 15,000

students this spring.
