All about me!

• My name is Mrs. Hoskins. I am the mother of two handsome boys. I am a graduate of Alcorn State University and currently in the MAT program at Belhaven University. I have been employed in the education profession for over thirteen years. I am looking forward to many more exciting years.

My Philosophy of Education

• I believe that children are our future.• I believe that every child have the ability to learn and the right to a quality

education. regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, and capabilities.• I believe every child should have the opportunity to learn from a professional,

well-informed teachers who’s sophisticated and knowledgeable, both in their area of expertise and life.

• I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally,

• Intellectually, physically, and socially..• I believe most of all that I was called from above to be in this profession.

Dress Code

• Dress code will be enforced!• Shirts are to be tucked and a belt should be worn for boys and girls• All shoes must have toes and heels covered.• Unacceptable Acceptable

Attendance Policy

• School attendance is very important to ensure students do not miss vital classroom instruction time. When students improve their attendance rates, they improve their academic prospects.

• We are asking everyone to strive for less than five absences during the entire school year.

• Mississippi law requires students to be in attendance 63percent of the school day in order to be counted as present.

When you are absent…

• Students will receive missed work on the day student returns• Missed work will be due in two days• Absentee form must be returned to

the office the next day with medical excuse if applicable.
