Located no more than a block from Syracuse campus, Marshall street is home to many restaurants; you can find fast food and sit-down restaurants.

Did you find the orange guy? He just came from Varcity to That is the place the

For the late-night crowd, Marshall street is in close proximity to a few popular bars. So, if you need something to eat late, Marshall street has you covered.

<Newhouse>

Newhouse is Syracuse University's highly regarded college of communications. Newhouse's alumni include, but are not limited to, Marv Albert, Mike Tirico, and Jim Morris. If you get a chance check out the new state-of-the-art Dick Clark Studioshttps://youtu.be/rNBQb2

Founded in 1924, Maxwell is the school of Citizenship and Public Affairs. The Maxwell school consists of two adjacent buildings, which surround a statue of Abraham Lincoln. Some notable alumni are former United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, Donna Shalala, and former US senator Patrick Moynihan.

Crouse College, known by Syracuse students as “Hogwarts” for its Victorian architecture, is the building for students of the Setnor School of Music. One of the more recent, notable alumnus is Drew Taggart-- half of the Chainsmokers. Despite being filled with musicians, programs offered by Setnor span far beyond performance arts.

Hendricks Chapel is on the quad. Hendricks is home to many different Christian denominations for mass, and Buddhist meditations. Many non-religious events are held here, too, like the Black Fraternities’ annual “Quad Freak” which showcases each frat’s stroll. But on the average day, you’ll see people hang out on the steps and/or doing homework like the rest of the quad.

Carnegie Library stands on the opposite side of campus from Bird Library. And, well, it’s the opposite of Bird in every way imaginable. People in Bird chirp; people in Carnegie work in peace and silence. If you need somewhere quiet in order to work, Carnegie is where you belong.

Archbold Gymnasium is the biggest, most popular gym on campus. You have ample room to do weights, cardio, swim, and play basketball. The basketball courts are set to be renovated in the near future, and those in the know say the improvements will be well worth the wait.

The school of Visual and Performing Arts is home to all the art majors; performing arts, drama, film, etc. It’s one of the hidden jewels of Syracuse. The building itself is home to several art studios, an art gallery, and a movie theater! Some notable alumni include actor Taye Diggs, and Peter Gruber.

The Hall of Languages is the oldest, most recognizable building on campus. At one point, it was literally the only building Syracuse University had. Because of that, it has become a landmark. Everyone who has ever visited Syracuse’s campus has taken a photo in front of the Hall of Languages.

I like the Whitman School of Management because it’s the closest SU building to the Marshall Street. Starbucks is literally right across the street.
