Downloading RNIB Bookshare titles to listen to on the Capti app on an
iPad/iPhoneDownload and install the Capti Narrator App from iTunes onto the learners iPad / iPhone
Capti will read the following file formats: Adobe PDF (.pdf) Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) Plain and Rich text (.txt, .rtf) EPUB books (.epub), OpenDocument (.odt, .odp) DAISY books (.zip). So you can either download the title in PDF or Daisy format.
Find required book on RNIB BookshareSearch for title:
Choose either PDF or Daisy format whichever is available:
Assign and download the title to your member
Uploading to Capti (via a PC)Click on ‘add track’ and select local file from the dropdown
Navigate to your downloaded file
Select the file and click on ‘import’:
Once imported the track will be displayed at the bottom of your playlist:
The file will now be available for you to read.
Uploading to Capti (via an iPad)
Upload your file from RNIB Bookshare to your preferred Cloud service:
• Google Drive• Dropbox• OneDrive
Example using Google Drive:Log into your Google Drive and upload the file
On the iPad log into CaptiFrom the storage options select ‘Google Drive’
You will then be prompted to log into your Google Drive:
Navigate to the uploaded file and click on the ‘+’ icon
The file will then upload direct from Google Drive to your Capti app

If your leaners iPad is linked to the Capti account the iPad will automatically synchronise
