"My advice to you: Don't let anyone persuade your decision on a career. Find out for yourself if the career you have chosen is right. You are the one who has to live with it, not anyone else."

Now is the time to start planning for the future. Career planning is a life long process that focuses on

choices and experiences. Your likes, dislikes, strengths, and weaknesses are all key elements to keep in

mind when researching different majors and occupations. This worksheet will help you arrange your

thoughts and questions pertaining to career development, which will later assist your efforts in

producing a successful resume and portfolio, as well as developing the skills and qualities desired by

employers.

"Explore your options through research. It helps to understand all the qualities and aspects of a career. The information I obtained gave me a real insight on my major. I found out my major wasn't right for me and the researching helped me figure out what I really wanted."

When working on this handout it's a good idea to spend quality time and efforts toward this. Expanding your choices is important since the choices you make will directlyimpact yourfuture. Make it count.
