story which emphasizes the psychology of the
characters and their unstable emotional state.
This genre sets an atmosphere of uncertainty,
tension and anxiety.

are some ideas:

The black gates
The asylum escape
DESCRIPTION OF CHARACTERS
We discussed what our main character is going to
look like. We have decided that it is going to be a
girl, dressed in a white gown, she is going to have
extremely pale skin with a few cuts and some dirt on
her and she is going to have dark hair that is going
to be covering a lot of her face. She also has two
different coloured eyes.
OUTLINE OF THE WHOLE FILM
A girl escapes from a mental asylum. She sees a sign for priory park. She
shuts her eyes and takes a deep breath, while her eyes are shut, she has
loads of images which are going through her head, her eyes fly open, then
she starts running to priory park. She sits down and thinks that she sees
someone when really it’s a figment of her imagination.
She continues to run away from the asylum, looking for someone who
doesn’t exist. Along her journey, she starts to recover and makes friends.
As she starts to settle down and learns to control the things that are going
on in her head, she then gets found by the people looking for her, gets put
back into the asylum and goes beck to the way she used to be.
LOCATIONS
In our opening sequence, we are going to film our
main character escape from the asylum which is
going to be the back gates of Reigate college then
she will find her way priory park.
The locations we will be filming are:
The back entrance of the college
Priory park
TARGET AUDIENCE
Our target audience is going to be 15+ because if
it was made into a real film it would be a 15
certificate. and people who enjoy this genre
HOW?
Girl running = long shot, point of view shot, medium shot.
Girl sitting in field = long shot, close up.
We’re going to film the pictures by taking lots of short video clips
of people doing normal day to day things such as walking and
talking on the phone and also video lots of normal things such as
houses and cars then edit everything to give it a creepy and eerie
affect.
When she closes her eyes and starts having flash backs, we’re
going to film scary images and also edit them.
INFLUENCED FILMS
Films we looked at which helped to decide on some
ideas for our opening was the film Se7en, and the
Arlington road film.
