1. Digatrenchdeepenoughtoallowfora2”bedofsandandwideenoughtoaccepta4”backfillofconcreteon eachside.

2. Fixastringtothefinishedheightandallowafallof1/8”perchannel.Ifusingbottomoutletdetermineits location.Spreadandcompactthesandbase.

3. RemovegratestoaccessEndCapandEndOutlet,slidetheEndOutletintotheslotofonechannel,usingthe tabspositiontheEndCapinanotherchannelandholdwithtape,replacegrates.

4. WorkingfromtheEndOutletlaythechannelusingthestringlinetosetthegrade.

5. Ifnecessarycutthechannelandgratetolength,asiliconesealantortapemaybeusedtoholdtheEndCapin placeduringthepour.

6. Oncethelayoutiscomplete,“ifrequired”cutorknockoutthebottomoutletfortheatriumleafguardandinstall.

7. Tapetheexposedsurfaceofthegratetoprotectitduringtheconcretepour.Usingasmallpieceoftape,cover thegrateslotstopreventconcretefromenteringduringthepour.

8. Vehicular traffic:Backfillwithconcrete,floatoffchannel½”belowfinishedlevelofconcrete.

9. Asphalt:Donotpourasphaltagainstchannels.Backfillwithconcreteaminimumof4”eachside.

10. Alternative applications:Backfillwithconcreteaminimumdepthof3”extendingawayaminimumof4”each side,installpaversorbackfillwithsoil.

11. Allow72hoursofcuringtimepriortoremovalofgrates.
