Off the shores of the island of Barbados in the Caribbean lay the magical island of Culpepper. A small rock in the grand vastness of the world but secretly it held

a magnitude of power unbeknown to the general masses except for a select few. The Fireceronz, an army of warriors, oath bound to protect the world of the evil forces of The Dull, The Drab and The Boring. Whisked away in the dream realm where their minds are trained and battles are fought to grant them to honor to be bestowed the mystical powers of creativity, innovation and passion. Many of these warriors do not know the powers they possess nor the magnitude of their existence, they just believe in living their lives to the fullest by dominating the Caribbean beauty and fashion arena.

There are three factions the Firecerons are divided into but now we are about to embark on the journey to investigate The Brightans.

Brightans, characterised by their sweet and cheerful personalities, also their love for bright and bold colours are most inspired by the spring/ summer seasons and

are most powerful and influential during this time.

The Fierceronette model Rochelle, is captured in all three stages of her Brightan existence. Firstly in her awake mode, how she appears to the public, the other two

are in her Dream Realm Mode, both in training and battle stance.

Scientifique Maquillage Ebony also a Brightan unbeknownst to her is inspired by the bright colours of the Caribbean and her Fierceronette powers when she is in her

dream laboratory creating and formulating new products for her cosmetic line, Makeup Doll Cosmetics, bringing meaning to Colour Me

MakeUp Doll CosmeticsSeveral years ago, Shakita Payne became long-time friends with Ebony Kellman, Vice President of Make-Up Doll Cosmetics. The duo found it hard to find make-up with overwhelming colour that pop on dark skin tones and highlighted the beauty, diversity and elegance of the Caribbean woman and so after completing manufacturing classes the duo went to work formulating rich pigments and other beauty products.

Make-Up Doll Cosmetic’s is not your average make-up product; it’s a blend of Caribbean culture and spirit transformed into burst of colours, on the lids, brows and lips.

And so the Doll was born. Make-Up Doll Cosmetics.

Shawn FieldsThough originally trained as a computer programmer, I’m a professional photographer living in Barbados.

My love for photography was developed from my early school days and then more recently with the assistance of New York Institute of Photography and Joel Brooks.

Through my photography I seek to document my own personal experiences, to capture scenes and events as I see them and to share with others the beauty and diversity of the world I’ve seen. As the images of other photographers have inspired me to explore the world, I hope

my own contributions will inspire others to do the same. Fashion photography is such a joy for me as it affords me the opportunity to meet more people than I possibly would’ve had I not been a photographer.

I’ve been published in a few reputable magazines both locally and in the United States. Today I license images for all manner of commercial and editorial use. e.

Concrete and cars exhaust float in the like mist Sewers grids at the ends of gutters filled with piss -

Tol jammed rudely against my nostrils and the shaky hand slides it to my temples.

It’s a straight jacket affair A Contortionist’s lair

That to be normal, your creativity must be formal.

So you bend and twist and chant till you get the gist

Conform I must.Confirm you must.

Conform I must. Confirm you...

Lust and after short skirts and lacy dresses and be proud to call ourselves hawt messes

So roll up that jointthat I hit the point, to party the night away.

To forget that all our lives are still greyGrey grey grey skies

and still we hustle our way to make those dollars bills to buy those pills

to get the thrill of noticing that in the will

I inherited the pistol that we hold against my head and filled my mind full of lead ...

Heavy heavy heavy dread

Courage dear heartShe reiterated her words like a prayer

Courage dear soul She wiped her eyes

Go walkaboutGo find yourself chile

Walk, run, flyGet away

Escape

This concrete jungle will scourge your tongueAnd choke your power

Fill your beating heart with the springs of the countrysideWith the breath of the hills

The colours of the windBe free chile

Feel the earth around youReunite your soul with nature

And your mind with peaceEscape

Remington FordeRemington Forde became interested in photography from a young age when his father introduced him to it. At the age of 17 he bought his first point and shoot camera. He joined the photography association of cave hill campus (PHOTACC) where he learned all about the DSLR camera and its functions. By the age of 20, Remington has become a competent professional photographer in his spare time. He has mainly done nature, portraiture, documentary and event photography but is however looking to expand into other areas of photography.

Where can I go?How did I get here?

Through the darkness with nothing in sight...

Drifting... moving... slowly onward...

Am I being pulled or pushed?

A never-ending fight...

Is it my own doingOr a predetermined fate?

Am I the chefOr just being served a plate?

Life changes as quickly as clothes. When will it stop or pause-

Fast-forward or rewind?Take long strides, Or take my time?

A rush to get ready for the runway,Or do I just run away?

Searching for that light,My freedom ,

An end to this fight!

Relaxing in clothes that I love,Head up high,

Cutlass to the sky,Victory!

VICTORIA I AM!

Fashionable, unique and creative are just a few words to describe the swimwear offered by J’aime Crochet. These beautifully handmade items caress your body, providing extraordinary comfort and support because of the soft, light and comfortable yarn which also permits the bathing suit to keep its beauty time after time in or out of the water. In addition, the weaving is tight enough that it provides the basic coverage which would prevent the hassle of constantly checking for slips or the fear of private areas showing through. The swimwear is custom-made and is flattering to every figure, whether you are slim figured or full figured. You get to choose your own combination of colours which aid in the exclusiveness of this swimwear. With J’aime Crochet, mix it, match it and make it yours!

Soirées D’étéShrimps, steaks and bread with garlic butter,

Pastries, cakes and enough wine to slur and stutter,The sweet smell of music is in the air.

Dancing and prancing and lots of fanfare, The fruits of summer bursting in colour inspire eyes of creative taste buds!

Mangoes and limes,

So many golden apples it’s a crime; Rosy pinks and bright yellows

Bat eyes at the green-eyed young fellow.

The cusp of a bust covered in satins of blue, Stripped of clothes - Bathed, fresh, anew.

Adorned each time with gems and shot with a 50mm lens.

Amass the colours of the season!Let loose we don’t need a reason,

It’s a summer’s eve soiree!

So let the colours and tastes of the music carry thee away.
