FDCT Foro de Diálogo Cultural Transfronterizo
Cultural Transboundary Dialogue Forum FDCT
Autonomous space that is created from an attempt to understand and build communication
channels between geographical boundaries, using art language, journalism, research,
cinematography, music, social anthropology and more, we aim at a community integration
where ideas are exchange. Furthermore, we look at the intersection of similarities between
borders in other parts of the world in order to identify similar behaviours and to establish new
ways to flourish as individuals and as a society.
This is a space that promotes diversity, through the use of workshops, music concerts, open
discussion sessions we invite the artist and/or participant to engage in collaborative process to
achieve a decentralization of the cultural offer. Such events will happen in both the metropolitan
area of the city and marginalized communities in the border area.
It is also a political space that serves to the community of El Paso and Juarez. It traces back to
2015 as an idea of young individuals worried for the cultural situation in the border. These
individuals believe that due to the geographical location of this particular border they need to
provide alternatives for consumption of art, alternatives that have social justice impact that
promotes change within the youth community.
