Traditions

+ First Day of SchoolOn the first day of every school year, we take a picture in our driveway. Written in chalk is the new grade level my daughters will be starting

that day.

HalloweenOn Halloween night, my husband hooks the

trailer to the quad and my daughters and their friends trick or treat around my parents’

neighborhood.

+

ThanksgivingWe always end up at Aunt Marie’s

house in Mamaroneck, New York for Thanksgiving dinner. Our favorite part

of the meal is the corn fritters.

Christmas Eve

We spend Christmas Eve with my husband’s

family every year. We enjoy time with his

brothers and sister, his aunt and uncle, and his

cousin too. Santa always drops a few early boxes

as he passes by.

+ ChristmasMy parents host Christmas dinner every year. It used to be a sit down dinner, but as our family

has grown, we no longer can fit everyone at the same table.

+ EasterEaster is spent at my Aunt Pat’s house in

Southington. It is a time to get together and enjoy each other’s company.

+

SoftballSoftball season is one of my favorite times of the year. My daughter has been playing for five years and my

husband coaches.

+

As our family continues to grow, we look forward to new traditions

and making new memories together.
