Giant Little Onesa KEITH BEHRMAN picture
Special Presentation
Giant little ones is a ground-breaking, funny and beautifully observed exploration of
fluid sexuality among teenagers and their parents, now.
Franky Winter and Ballas Kohl are high school royalty: handsome, stars of the swim team
and popular with girls. They live a perfect teenage life – until the night of Franky’s epic
17th birthday party, when Franky and Ballas, both wasted, surprise each other by getting
intimate. Sensitive Franky is open to having a range of desires and experiences, but the
alpha Ballas is much more threatened. Soon the story is public and the two friends, the
kids, the school and the parents all find themselves dealing with the fall-out.
This is a confidently shot and beautifully acted story that manages to transcend quite
a few of the coming-of-age genre’s cliches by delving into how the Millennial generation
experiences sexuality, ostracism and growing up and how they try to relate to their parents
and peers. - The Hollywood Reporter

School’s Out
Based on the book ‘School’s Out’ by Christophe Duffosé, Winner of
the First Book Prize and translated into ten languages.
A high school teacher throws himself from the classroom window before the terrified eyes of his
students. Despite the tragedy, six of them remain oddly cool and unemotional. Pierre, the new
substitute teacher, notices the hostile behaviour of this close-knit clique. Smart and precocious,
the six teenagers seem to be preparing a mysterious plan after school. Pierre becomes obsessed
with them and is quickly sucked into their sinister game. His life soon turns into a nightmare.
A level of urgency and striking relevancy. Just like the singular way in which the director
manages to dupe the audience, to make us open our eyes, to make us face the truth for
once and for all, because it’s about time! - Cineuropa

Dachraan ABDELHAMID BOUCHNAK picture
Dachra Based on true events, DACHRA evokes our primitive fears of witchcraft and cannibalism.
Set against the backdrop of contemporary Tunisia, the feature revolves around female
journalism student Yasmin and two male classmates who set out on a university assignment
to solve the cold case of Mongia, a woman found mutilated 25 years ago and now imprisoned
in an asylum, suspected of witchcraft.
As they pursue their investigation, the three friends stumble into the archaic and ominous
world of Dachra, an isolated countryside compound filled with goats, silent women, mysterious
drying meat and steaming pots, which is home to a cult.
When the cult’s jovial but menacing leader invites them to stay overnight, Yasmin is drawn into
Dachra’s dark secrets and a desperate attempt to escape alive.
Combines elements of American chillers such as ‘The Blair Witch Project’ with visuals and
tropes that are instead specific to Arabic cinema, and tackles the topic of witchcraft as a
motive for murders. - Variety

THE FIRST FILM OF THE LOVE TRILOGY
Ziv is a 17-year old talented sensitive musician. He still lives with his parents and is about to enter the army where he will be forced into ‘manhood’ and stripped of his innocence and dreams. Across the street lives the beautiful 34-year old Alice, a successful author and emancipated woman. A random meeting between the two will catalyze attraction and understanding, then following a terrible incident, destruction and growth. Alice will be stripped of her confidence and strong social image, and left to struggle to find inner peace.
Stripped raises curiosity for the rest of the trilogy, which on this showing, could turn out as
troubling and intricate as any tri-partite art-house project since Kieslowski. - Screen Daily

A bittersweet comedy. What might have been a disaster for the Finlay family leads to
letting go and finding grace in the glorious chaos of life, as Henry and Anna realize their
seriously ill teen daughter Milla has just fallen madly in love with a drug dealer, Moses.
This romance is Milla’s protective parents’ worst nightmare — but Milla doesn’t want
to play it safe anymore. Things get messy and morals go out the window, as the lives
of those around the family — their disarmingly honest pregnant neighbour, a brilliantly
flawed music teacher, a child violin prodigy and Moses’ family — become intertwined.

REQUEST SCRIPT & PRODUCTION OVERVIEW
Death of a Ladies’ ManA dramedy about life and love, from the producers of Brooklyn and Once.
Samuel O’Shea, a university professor of poetry, exuberant womanizer and enthusiastic drinker
has seen better days. His second marriage is ending, and his wife and children are at their wits’
end with him. More disturbingly, he has begun seeing things: Frankenstein sidles up to the bar
and strangers sing and dance to Leonard Cohen tunes. His much-missed father, who died when
Samuel was just a boy, pops up for chats.
At first Samuel thinks it could be the drink, or perhaps he’s just crazy or over-imaginative, but then
learns he has a brain tumour. Reflecting on the life he has lived, Samuel retreats to his family
shack in remote Ireland, where he begins work on that great novel he always meant to write, and
generally take stock. Surprisingly, or not, he meets and falls in love with a local woman, who is full
of unexpected ideas. All this leads Samuel to an utterly unforeseeable happy ending.

REQUEST SCRIPT & PRODUCTION OVERVIEW
Kabul under Taliban rule. Two neighborhoods and two couples.
One couple is conservative: Atiq and Mussarat have been married for 20 years and are
steeped in the traditions of Afghan life. Atiq works as the chief guard at the women’s
prison. Mussarat is very ill and fights to remain a strong woman until the very end.
The other couple is modern: Zunaira and Mohsen are young and in love, and against
tradition. Under the Taliban, they’ve both lost their respective jobs as lawyer and university
teacher and have difficulty making ends meet. They must sell their few possessions to buy
food, yet they are determined to maintain their modern values.
One day, a stoning. Then an act of humiliation. Then a fight... and life takes an irrevocable
turn. When the lives of these diametrically opposite couples become intertwined, sacrifice
becomes the price to pay for love.
