Transcript of Exporting from RealDraw

How to…Get your graphic out of RealDrawand into Mediator

First…Get rid of any wasted space

In RealDraw, the white background shows exactly the size of image you’re going to get. If it’s a button then this space will become part of the link and that could be confusing.

Click Project and Trim Canvas…

…and it will automatically remove all of the wasted space. However, sometimes in my experience this method can sometimes take off a very small but noticeable amount of the graphics itself. So…

…instead you may want to click Project and Trim Canvas (+Padding)…

…this leaves a small gap around the graphic. If you want to be more precise and have more control over this process then…

…click the crop button on the left and drag out your own selection-rectangle around your graphic. You can find tune this with the red blocks…

…then click Project and Crop Canvas…

…and that’s the background you’ll be left with.

Next…Export it as a bitmap image

Remember that RealDraw allows you to draw vector images (made from shapes) but applications like Mediator can only work with bitmap images (made from

pixels)

Click File and Bitmap Export…

…then select PNG Transparent. This will remove the white background (which you don’t want). Change the size here too. Don’t resize in Mediator – it won’t look anywhere near as good.

…then click Export and give your bitmap image suitable name. Remember that your RealDraw file is left exactly as it was – your just taking a bitmap copy of it

Next…Add your image into Mediator
