Euphonium Auditions – Fall 2019
In addition to the following excepts, students will need to have prepared a full-range chromatic scale (E below the staff to Bb four lines above the staff, more or less) in eighth notes at quarter = 120 or greater.
In addition, scales appropriate to your level will be required. Two octaves are required for each scale in the

Holst’s First Suite in Eb (pickup to 7th measure to the end - LOOK AT THE CLEF)
Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever (Ignore brackets…Stop after first note of first ending)
Berlioz’s Roman Carnival Overture (beginning until the 6/8)
Schuman’s Circus Overture (omit the last bar)
