Responsible for social media (Facebook, Twitter), MSDN blog posts

and community interaction for the MVP influencer program across

all Microsoft product groups.

The MVP program at Microsoft, with approximately 4000 current

members, is a global program with a rich 20-year history,

encouraging community development, learning and networking.

Fiscal year at Microsoft goes from August 1 through July 31st.

My role lasted from May 10 – August 26 (taking over from a contractor on a required break) so parts of

Q4 FY13 and Q1FY14.

Track and analyze social media (Facebook, Twitter, forums) and serve as community manager for

video game company clients:

Lightbox Interactive (Starhawk) – community manager, social media/forum posting, tracking and

reporting.

Received a certificate in social media implementation from the

University of Washington.

As part of our coursework, we had two community management

projects (Pinterest and Google+, the latter including analytics), and

a final client project, creating a social media plan and content

calendar for Benaroya Hall’s non-Symphony programming.

Queer Geek

Started a social media community from scratch, present on

Facebook (in a group and on a like page), Twitter and Meetup.

The Queer Geek Facebook like page, which started August 2011,

currently has 477 likes. It has a weekly total reach of 861.

The Queer Geek Facebook group currently has 418 members.

The Queer Geek Twitter page has 141 followers.

The Queer Geek Meetup group has 574 members.
