OUR ENVIRONMENT

These Pictures …

Carefully observe…

How does it feel?

• Beautiful

• Wonderful

• Replenishing

• Refreshing

For how many

more years, do

you think this is

going to

sustain???

Think!!

Think!!

Think!!

• May be, a couple of more years…

• Your kids may not be able to see the beautiful world that God has made!

• Do you care for your future generations?

• Your fathers and forefathers didn’t care much about it and left us the following!

Seventy-three different kinds of pesticides have been found in groundwater, which is potential drinking water.

The cost of one nuclear weapons test alone could finance the installation of eighty thousand hand pumps, giving third

world villages access to clean water.

More than 100 active pesticide ingredients are suspected of causing cancer, birth defects, and gene mutation.

"Everyone has some amount of dioxin in his or her body, and the average level is already high enough to endanger health.“

--Lois Gibbs

• During winter months, 49 percent of soot and other particle pollution in Sacramento is caused by burning wood in fireplaces and wood stoves.

According to the World Health Organization, if you are one of the 18 million residents of Cairo:

- Breathing daily air pollution is like smoking 20 cigarettes a day

- You take in over 20 times the acceptable level of air pollution each day

450 premature deaths700 non-fatal heart attacks9,900 asthma attacks13,000 respirator symptoms in children60,000 work loss days

In the state of Massachusetts alone, diesel emissions are responsible for the following annual statistics

During the 1990s, carbon dioxide emissions increased approximately 1.3% each year. But since 2000, the rate has increased to 3.3% per year, with an estimated annual global CO2 emissions increase of 35% from 1990 to 2006.

A recent study from Toronto Public Health estimates over 440 deaths a year in the Canadian city can be directly attributed to traffic emissions.

Emissions from ocean-going ships contribute to approximately 60,000 deaths each year, mostly from heart and lung-related cancers.

Sea level is projected to rise 1 to 3 feet within the next 100 years due to global warming and climate change.

One person travelling in the plane for one hour will produces as much as co2 as an average Indian produce in one year.

ADVERSE IMPACTS ON ENVIRONMENT AND ECOLOGY

Any project ruins the land, forests and pollutes water, air etc.,

Projects like Dams, Power Houses, Steel Plants, Factories, Fertilizer Units, Chemical Complex, Rail-road transport networks ruin and or pollute the natural resources and finally degrade the quality of life in the area.

The environment that gets affected by any project activities are as follows.

Pollution / Mis-use of land

Deforestation and depletion of wild life

Pollution of Water

Pollution of Air

Noise Pollution

Socio-economic & cultural pollution and so on

MIS-USE OF LAND

The soil is a living record, from where originated all major ecological events of the past.

Along with sunlight, air and water, soil supports all living beings, plants, as well as animals.

The productive land is the source of human sustenance

The per capita availability of habitat land is likely to get reduced to less than 50% of its proportion by 2025.

LOSS OF WILD LIFE AND ETHINO BOTONY

As many as 500 millions of plants, animals and microorganisms have made this planet their home since life began 3.50 millions years ago.

Today there are only 10 millions species alive and about 490 millions have been extinct.

The wild life represents the result of many years of evolution, and constitute an environmental heritage of the past, a world, which once surrounded our ancestries.

Human beings turn to nature and wild life for, spiritual, psychological, physical and cultural benefits.

India is endowed with a rich biological heritage and her various scriptures and epics, are full of vivid and beautiful account of wild life.

Study of wild life provides valuable knowledge about life process, which has helped scientists, understand the functioning and behavior of human body.

Ensure their favorable environment, regarding food, water & shelter.

Prevent hunting & deforestation

Proper education of the public

Flood plains of rivers, have been the cradle of civilizations and centers of population.

Water influences the global ecology, its flora and fauna. Water, like forests is a multipurpose resource.

ENVIRONMENT ?ENVIRONMENT ?Its NOT a million Dollar Question, its just isn’t worth a PENNY!

Why to kill OSAMA ???

• To save people!• If that’s the answer, then why US (BUSH)

killed hundreds of people.

No Management Guru Have Till Now Said Us

Killing Afghanistan doesn't mean, killing Osama. So, Stop Killing people.

Same way STOP Killing Plants, Animals and Environment.

IMAGINE…

• In the morning, you don’t have any water to take bath.

• There are no green trees on your way to school or college.

• You have a fancy luxury Car to drive, but you don’t have Petrol to run it!

• Your kids suffer with diseases like asthma, diabetes at the time of their birth.

THE WORLD AROUND YOU MAY LOOK LIKE…

Only you have to decide between

OR

Newton’s Law Of Motion “For Every Action There’s Always An Equal & Opposite Reaction”

• If we don’t want all this to happen then we all need to bring a change in our lifestyles.

• The changes are not so difficult to make but they can bring great difference to our future.

We all can beAn Environmentalist

Everyday!

Let’s See How?

Reading This Book Never Change Your Life, Except The Waste Of Money.

Start charity at Home first

A Penny saved is a Penny “Earned”

A Computer Switched ON for a year, need 500 trees to OFFSET

the emissions.

Then think how may computers are running 24 X 7 in

the corporate offices?

Then WHY don’t you look out for ENERGY STANDARDS?

We measure Gold with this standards!!!

• They charge you more to cost you less….

• So why don’t we adapt to lesser costlier items!!!

• Saving on electricity now will help us cut about 14% of Global warming.

Picture Tells you the Importance!!
