Public health surveillance is the ongoing, systematic

collection, analysis, interpretation & dissemination

of data regarding a health related event for use in

public health action to reduce the morbidity &

mortality and to improve health.

Injury surveillance is the continuing scrutiny of all

aspects of occurrence and patterns of injury that are

pertinent to effective prevention and control.

Based on the Law, to address the health inequity due to catastrophic medical care costs of RTI, the Ministry of Health & Medical Education became responsible for free of charge care to all road traffic injured in all public & private health care facilities within the country.

Regarding this article, 10% of the mandatory third party premium of all kind of motor vehicles is deposited to the Ministry of Health & Medical Education to compensate the costs of this free of charge care .
