Phrasal verbsPhrasal verbs consist of a verb

combined with a short word called particle, in fact the meaning of the resulting 2 or 3-word verb is a combination of both, the verb and the particle (preposition)

1. phrasal verbGet along: Llevarse bien, have a good relation with someone like family, friends, etc.Example:I get along with my brother, besides

we always talked of the pets

2. phrasal verbCome across: Meet someone

unexpectedly.Example:I went to the cinema and I came across

alejandra.

  3. phrasal verbGive up: rendirse, leave something you want to leave.Example: I gave up drinking alcohol because I felt

bad.

4. phrasal verbWatch out!: tener cuidado, be alert to

anything that you can happen Example:Watch out! the dog is dangerous, it can

bite.

5. phrasal verbWalk about: walk, come and go

somewhere

Example:I walked about aimlessly in mexico

with my mom.

etc.

For example:I saw the young people get on the

airplane.

7. phrasal verbCarry out: Comply with some activity For example:It is good to carry out the tasks to get

good grades

8. phrasal verbGo up: get closer , climb somewhere, etc.

For example:He must go up the mountain.

9. phrasal verbLook after: take care of someone or

something.

For exampleI will look after your dog while you travel

to Paris.

10. phrasal verb Go out: leave of some site.

For example:I'm having dinner before I go out of

house.
