Why is it important ?ANIMALS ARE IMPORTANT BECAUSE :IF A SPECIE DIES THE WHOLE ECO SYSTEM WILL DESTROY. IF A SPECIE DIES ANOTHER SPECIE COULD DIE TOO BECAUSE THERE IS A FOOD CHAIN.

What are killing animals

• Animals habitat are cut down by people and then animals don’t have a home, and need to find another.

• People kill animals for their skins and sometimes for little things like elephants get killed for tusks and alligators get killed for their skins etc.

Alligators Almost Extinct

The Chinese Alligator was close to get extinct. There were only 2 Chinese alligators left in the world. The Chinese alligator was the most endangered of all the crocodile family. New hatchlings gave the alligator species a chance of survival.

GREAT AUK The Great Auk were hunted as food, the last auks were seen in 1844, the nesting pair was killed by fishermen who made sure not to only kill the birds, but to crush their remaining eggs.

PASSENGER PIGEON People killed passengers pigeon because pigeon meat got popular, and the people were destroying their habitat too. The last pigeon died in a zoo in 1914, and her name was Martha.

TASMANIAN TIGERTasmanian tigers were last seen 2,000 years ago. The tiger was hunted to extinction. The last one caught was in 1933 and died 3 years later in a zoo in Australia.

RECYCLING

People should recycle trash. People should recycle because the garbage ends up in the sea. Before recycling, you should make the garbage smaller, for example, the soda plastic rings, plastic rings can hurt animals like Sea Turtles. Sea Turtles can get stuck on the rings or can eat the plastic rings, choke and die. Recycling is another way of helping animals.
