Read the phase indicator. Which phase are they in?
If they are in Emergent and they:Can do ALL of the indicators and some from the proficient phase, then their Grade is 3.
Read books with repetitive texts
Uses picture clues and sounds
Uses sound-letter relationship and sight words
With support retells main events
They can do all of these without support
Report Grade No. is 3
Read the phase indicator. Which phase are they in?
If they are in Proficient and they:Can do ALL of the indicators and some from the exceeding phase, then their Grade is 6 .
Exceeding is Proficient in the Next Grade
Example Outcomes are the same regardless of
Grade
If the student is not demonstrating all of the descriptors they are in the Emergent
phase
If the student demonstrates ALL consistently and they are in the
Proficient phase

C – The attitude or disposition is ‘Consistently’ evident
U – The attitude or disposition is ‘Usually’ evident
S – The attitude or disposition is ‘Sometimes’ evident
R – The attitude or disposition is ‘Rarely’ evident
