• R12 provides the NHS with the foundation to request further development of the Oracle solution

9

Key Features of R12

• Major upgrade to the underlying application and technical infrastructure

• No significant changes to Core HR and Payroll

• Significantly improved functionality in the areas OLM and Self Service

• End User Interface Updates

10

What has changed?

• General focus on usability

• Reduced number of clicks for end user navigation

• Make steps more logical for the end-user

• Includes Oracle-developed enhancements

• Some developments designed specifically at the request of NHS

22

Learner Groups - Overview

• Intended use is where there are a frequent ‘Group’ of learners who need to complete the same learning.

• The Learning Administrator can then use learner groups to define learner access for all objects in the content hierarchy.

• More efficient and effective learner management

23

Learner Groups - Detail

• New ‘Setup’ Tab

• Learner access can be applied by learner group

• Enrolments can be made by learner group

• Can consist of:– Learners– Organisations– Positions– Jobs– Other Learner Groups

35

Enhanced Learning Paths - Overview

• Re-introduces ‘Program’ functionality (from OTA) based on NHS request

• Significantly reduced number of clicks - Administrators and Learners can subscribe and enrol in one process

• Prevent learners from withdrawing from classes

36

Enhanced Learning Paths - Detail

• Enable Learning Administrators to enrol learners onto classes that are part of courses linked to the learning path.

• Currently a learner is subscribed to a path. The learner must then enrol (or be enrolled) on each course attached to the path.

• Enhanced learning paths automate the course enrolment.

• Classes can be marked as learning path only
