The system is ideally suited for the mostrigorousapplicationswherethebasincannotbe taken off-line for system maintenance.The piping system is ballasted and rests onthebasinfloor.Individualdiffuserassembliesare fully accessible from the water surfaceallowing maintenance to be completedwithout draining the basin or interruptingtheprocess.

The EDI submerged lateral aeration systemis virtually indestructible and features highdensity polyethylene pipe for maximumdurability.Theballastingsystemisspecificallydesigned to withstand the large thermalexpansion associated with HDPE. Eachcomponent and total integrated system isengineered for maximum system integrityand proven field reliability. Heavy wall,high density, polyethylene pipe and weldedconstructionarestandardforallconnections.
