BFGV62 takes its name from the initials of the names of the poets it features (Barragan, Fortin, Gancedo, Vigo) and from its year of publication. Contain peculiar leaflets produced by the participating the artists.

Poemas(In)Sonoros - A Record For Lo-oking [(In)sonorous poems] nicely em-bodies Vigo’s interest in the production of functionless objects. The Bi-trici-cleta ingenua is another example.The work is also a great example of Vigo’s extensive conception of visual poetry.

The small leaflet of Plebiscito gratui-to: si–no [Gratuitous plebiscite] was distributed by Vigo to the participants of one of his earliest artistic gatherings. The artist invited a number of people to attend a talk entitled ‘Art today’. Once there everybody was asked to vote ‘yes’ or ‘no’ without any further expla-nation. This action was later developed in the Señalamiento IV.

Contempla y Vota was first exhibited in July 1971 on the occasion of the Expo/Internacional de Proposiciones a Reali-zar at the CAYC, in La Plata. The piece consisted of peculiarly shaped electo-ral forms available to be inscribed and inserted in a locked ballot box placed beneath a hanging sculpture entitled Suero (in) estético para contemplar.

This peculiar hanging multiple is a cle-ar example of Vigo’s political comm-mitment against the dictatorship. The work commemorates the massacre of Ezeiza and the 16 revolutionaries as-sassinated in the jail of Trelew on Au-gust 22 1972.

20 Different Strings and a Cancelled Stamp is a poem object dedicated by Vigo to Neruda. This piece reveals a more traditionally literary reference of the artist: poet Pablo Neruda. The whi-te and blue label collaged on paper-card is of the kind used to title primary school notebooks at the time.
