How much are you spending on gas and electricity per year? This chart shows how much you're spending annually on utility bills and the amount that's being spent on gas vs. electricity. Your
utility costs are an important factor when deciding which efficiency measures make the most sense for your home.
Gas is most certainly your highest expenditure, so this is the main area of focus for your home.

How much are you paying for top tier electricity?PG&E encourages energy conservation by increasing the price you pay for electricity over a baseline. Electricity in the top rate
tiers costs almost four times as much as power at the baseline. Therefore, any conservation that can be achieved will have a
disproportionately large impact on your bill, as you will be conserving the most expensive electricity first.
Tier Usage (kWh) % of Total Usage Annual Cost % of Total Cost

Where is energy being lost in your home?We have calculated your home's actual performance through a method known as Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA)
Manual J. This process allows us to precisely understand how each component of your building affects your heating load, and
identify which areas are most appropriate to improve based on your health, comfort and efficiency goals.

How drafty is your home?Reducing air leakage is often the single most effective step you can take towards a more efficient, healthy and comfortable home.
Minimizing air leakage can reduce heating and cooling bills, and improve indoor air quality and comfort. During your energy audit
we used a blower door to determine the percentage of air your home exchanges with the outdoors per hour.
•We closed off (taped shut) the extremely leaky kitchen pantry door, upper bedroom #3 window and door frame were taped,
laundry room vent pipe and cat door were sealed and fireplace was shut: Results: 7,028CFM at 36 pascals
•We then closed off the duct supplies and returns and the leaky upstairs closet door: Results: 6,182 CFM at 44.4 pascals
*Cubic Feet per Minute. Used to quantify the air flow through ductwork, air infiltration, or ventilation.
**Air Changes per Hour. The number of times the home’s air isreplaced from outside in an hour.

How efficient are your windows?Windows are an important component of a well performing building envelope. It’s important, however, to consider the energy
savings potential of window replacement compared to other building envelope improvements as steps like building envelope
sealing and insulation are typically more cost effective and will have a greater impact on improving comfort and health.

How leaky is your ductwork?Duct leakage is a major contributor to energy waste and poor indoor air quality. A duct system should act as a closed loop in
which no indoor air is lost to the outdoors and no outdoor air is introduced into your home. A well sealed and insulated duct
system is a key component to a healthy and efficient home.

possible, adding wall insulation to an existing home can greatly improve comfort and efficiency as well as decrease outdoor noise.

How well is your attic insulated? After air sealing, attic insulation is typically one of the best "bang for your buck" steps you can take towards a more efficient and
comfortable home. Well installed attic insulation acts as a barrier to summer and winter heat loss to and from your attic. It's like a
nice thick, winter hat for your home that saves you money all year round.

How much energy is your water heater using?Domestic water heating can be a significant source of energy consumption in a home. The cost of creating hot water in your home
will not exceed your gas base load costs which is an important factor when deciding to upgrade to a high efficiency water heating
system.

How efficient is your furnace? The HVAC summary compares the amount of heat your furnace can create to the amount needed by your home, and the amount
of cooling your air conditioner can create to the amount needed. A properly sized furnace will reduce run-time cycling, and
increase comfort and efficiency. A properly sized furnace and air conditioner combination will reduce run-time cycling, and
increase comfort and efficiency.

Top Priority Upgrades:
1. Whole-house Shell Sealing + Weatherization a. Major focus on upstairs hall closet, kitchen pantry room, laundry room and major floor and atticpenetrations2. Install Chimney Balloon in formal dining room3. Duct replacement or Sealing4. Heat supply balancing (adjust and/or install flow dampers)5. Crawl space insulation under entire home6. Install wall insulation throughout home7. Double pane sliding glass door replacement in kitchen nook8. Install solid door between kitchen and laundry room9. Install crawlspace moisture barrier (6-10 mil poly plastic sheeting covering entire earth surface
Next Step Upgrades:
10. Whole House Ventilation for Fresher, Healthier Air / at minimum, add spot ventilation in bathrooms11. Replace inefficient kitchen appliances: Dishwasher & Double Oven12. Remove both existing furances and install a single, properly sized, zone system for entire home.13. Remediate single-pane, leaky windows starting with kitchen slider door, and any other window that isdamaged, cracked and or is unable to close (bedroom #3, master bedroom, stair well window etc.)
Towards Net Zero:
14. Size and install small Solar PV system
